This house has the distinction of having been built in two stages and for two different owners. It is located on a rectangular lot between party walls in an area very close to the Rio de la Plata. The challenge has been to solve the program regarding the geographical condition of the lot, with the express desire to connect with the outside vegetation and, without being overly tectonic, to reflect a "coastal materiality" of the place.
Conceptually, it is a stratified volume structure that lightens up as one ascends. Additionally, another design premise has been bringing together the areas of service with the purpose to free up the social surfaces. The result of this functional division is reflected in the interaction of different incoming and outcoming volumes, which give the project a particular spatial dynamic.
