Faced with the challenge of dealing with a large dining space, the basic premise from both operations in the floor plan and section was to obtain a unique space with sufficient articulation to sustain different levels of privacy for the convenience of the users.
This articulation was achieved by creating three metal objects and curved geometries of iconic character that mounted on a platform, dialogue in a formal counterpoint way with a folding wooden ceiling. The result is a series of sub-spaces from which the perception of the room varies.
Two large facades frame both the central platform and the ceiling elements. Towards the avenue, through the large windows and mirrors that dematerialize the enclosure, and on the opposite side, by the great cabinet-facade and an Origami wall paper.
In turn, the red epoxy floor is the element that links all the space. From this floor the two bars rise in a continuum.
Located in the Alcorta Palace, the dialogue between the old past and the new has guided the selection of materials.
