G House
Area: 300 m2
Status: Built
Year: 2003
Location: Martínez, Buenos Aires, Argentina
The house is a "keel" in the corner of a suburban block. Because it is located at a crossroad, it indicates the end of a row of houses and simultaneously, the beginning of another one.
A drilling, in a keyhole manner, foreshadows what happens on the other side before turning at the corner.
The house is meant to float above the perimeter fence. The functional structure is organized by "slices of use" stacked by level, and its sequence is, ground floor: meeting and eating; second floor: work, play, entertaining; third floor: sleeping, washing, looking at the surroundings.
