Paunero House
Area: 300 m2
Status: Built
Year: 2000
Location: Martínez, Buenos Aires, Argentina
This house between party walls arises from the realization of the concept of rising space. In this case it is organized by a very permeable inside courtyard around which the different rooms on the ground and upper floors are distributed. This internal hollow space visually links the entire house both horizontally and diagonally and the two levels with each other.
Dividing walls were used as support surfaces of two wooden artifacts, one of which, the library, is detached from the concrete slabs creating a double high vacuum which houses the circulatory apparatus, and at the same time, allowing the light to enter the ground floor. A large metal horizontal volume is countered to both the verticality of the space and the patio, and in turn, it runs through the entire upper floor harboring the restrooms.
