We envision Colegiales Rail Yard competition as an opportunity to generate a great urban lung, feeding a very dense neighborhood with a lack of qualified urban space. This new park dominates the rest of the design decisions and occupies the entire site. Therefore, all the “built” is 8m over ground level, freeing it from constructions and recalling a train formation. This operation allows an entire reconnection of the city pattern between both sides of the rail yard. The building’s undulated shape invites the city, one side and the other, to enter the park. At the same, organizes the different multifunctional landscape systems at ground level.
