In order to resolve an apartment building in a typical batch of 8.66 meters between party walls in the city of Buenos Aires, we propose to give an opinion on materiality, quality of life, and standards of construction details.
It was decided to go for a quiet and formally neutral building, with a floor to ceiling full glass frontage and concrete in sight. This uniformity is only altered on the ground floor with a double height access conferring it somehow, a change of scale. In the common areas at the top of the building, a multi-purpose room with a pool and a sundeck were placed.
With respect to the units, emphasis was placed on the search for the maximum sunlight and ventilation. Special care was taken in the resolution of constructive meetings places between planes, the quality of materials as well as the intention to homogenize them as much as possible.
