Two volumes linked by a bridge solved the program of the yoga center. Its realization in concrete and stone comes from searching neutrality that symbolically accompanies the purpose of the place: to become a space of introspection and urban relaxation, a sphere area where materials are silent, not at all an easy objective in this bustling city. The room, core of the Yoga Center, was then placed isolated from the street and loose into the block, in search of an introverted ambiance. We wanted, however, that this volume were visible from street view. For this reason, the front block folds into its center and reveals from the back this double height room.
The assembly is then organized in the following sequence:

Urban Courtyard (street) - Building - Contemplation Courtyard - Building - Meditation Courtyard.

The room, a concrete box of 6 meters tall, also stimulates the introspection by guiding the visual effects solely to the patios by means of low windows. Natural light, a central element to this project, bathes the building in a zenith- like manner by placing skylights.
The organization of the building is very simple. At the front, reception and changing rooms, to the back, a practice area.  Lastly, the front volume has a blind façade towards the street, open to the back. The entire interior is dominated by the weight and shape of the large concrete ceiling.
